Math Facts

In math class, your child will be participating in an activity called “Minuto Loco”. Mad Minute tests are sheets with sixty single digit addition, subtraction, multiplication or division facts. Students will have 2.5 minutes to complete the Mad Minute test.

If your child has not memorized multiplication and related division facts, they need to practice these daily. I would like parents to drill their child at home every day. You can easily practice the facts orally in the car, while you fix dinner, or anytime you have a minute with your child.

My goal is that all my students learn (memorize) all the basic multiplication and related division facts by the end of the third grade. The more you practice with them, the faster they will reach this goal.
